The Love Handles

As I remember, I have rarely miss their
wonderful Shows. Sam the band leader is my
neighbor and his wife Amy Herrick is my
good old friend. We met, while we were both
pregnant with our, now teenage sons and
best friends Charlie Himmelstein and Michael
Russo, also very talented musicians.
The love Handles shows are always a big
affair with many of our neighbors from Park
Slope and Windsor Terrace in attendance.

The Love Handles formed in the summer of 2001, and
began performing later that year. They have played to
sold out shows at the Cutting Room,The Good Coffee
House in Park Slope, Brooklyn, The Liberty Heights Tap
Room, and the Hook in Red Hook. The band re-formed in
early 2005 with Felicia Michael on lead vocal and Vince
Alban on Bass. They play a mix of British invasion and
other music of the 60's ( Beatles, Stones, Zombies,
Byrds, Dylan) to "new wave" music of the late 70's and
early 80's (Elvis Costello,Talking Heads, The
Pretenders), to Roy Orbison and The Grateful Dead.
